Our award-winning dealership is honored to be one of nearly two dozen dealerships owned and operated by Parks Automotive Group, one of the trusted names in the local automotive landscape and named after its founder, Hubert Parks. Following his service in the United States Army, Hubert headed to Winston-Salem to launch his career. With his charisma, he was destined for sales and faced a crossroads as he headed into town. If he turned left, he would launch his sales career with Sears, and if he turned right, he could try his talent at selling cars.
The loss for Sears was the automotive industry’s gain as Hubert launched his career at Modern Chevrolet, quickly finding his stride and realizing his passion for serving others. Hubert dreamed of seeing his name on the marquee but, more importantly, envisioned opening a dealership that his customers could rely on for life. That dream finally came true in 1967 when he opened his first Chevrolet dealership and laid the foundation for the Parks Automotive Group we know today.
Hubert slowly expanded his business, but even with that expansion, he never lost sight of his values or vision. He remained focused on the customer experience and dedicated himself to helping everyone, from his customers to his staff and the community. Today, that approach is a cornerstone of our dealership.
