Six Tech Features Adventure-Craving Families Will Love on the 2024 Jeep Wrangler
February 02 2024 - support@wikimotive.com
The Jeep Wrangler has returned for another triumphant year on the market. The 2024 model already won the title of "Best Family SUV for Off–Roading" at the 2024 What Car? Car of the Year Awards. At the 2024 AutoTrader Awards, the Wrangler was named the Best Vehicle for Adventure. Serious adventurers can't get enough of this off-road SUV, which has been part of the Jeep family since 1987. But adventurers have changed a bit since 1987, haven't they?
As a Jeep dealer, we've seen how the things people ask about have changed over the decades. While some might think of Jeep drivers as those who specifically want to get off the grid and escape technology, the truth is that most adventurers have embraced the ways that great technology can enhance their adventures and even help them have more exciting, more intimate experiences off the pavement. Jeep has put six terrific tech features in its 2024 model that will help you explore further. And hey, you can always put your phone away and enjoy the open-air feel of taking the Wrangler's top and doors off any time you want. Here are six tech features of the 2024 Wrangler that we think serious explorers who travel with their families will love.
Far-Reaching Wi-Fi for Eight Devices
In an ideal world, nobody would bring anything with a screen on their next big adventure. However, the reality is that most people simply can't completely disconnect for days on end anymore. The important emails and assignments never stop coming. Plus, Wi-Fi helps get you where you're going. Luckily, the 2024 Wrangler has an available Wi-Fi hotspot that can connect to eight devices at once. Keep in mind that the Wrangler only seats up to five passengers. That means everyone can use Wi-Fi at the same time without fear of a connection slowdown. If you get the two-door, four-passenger Wrangler, everyone can use two devices at once. So passengers can play DJ with their phone while looking up the best landmarks for a photo op along your route on their computer. The Wrangler's Wi-Fi has a 50-foot radius, too. So once you set up camp in the forest or that pristine lakeside location, you can play music from your favorite streaming platform from your device, even if the vehicle isn't parked right beside you. Little ones who need to watch a favorite TV show to fall asleep in their tents can hop on Netflix or Hulu, so long as the Wrangler is within that 50-foot radius.
Queue Up the Navigation System
If you're like most Wrangler drivers, your adventurous mind doesn't stop turning just because you're stuck in the office or at home. So, while you're supposed to be paying attention to that presentation, but you're actually looking up the best places to go cliff diving on this weekend's adventure, you can discreetly pre-plan your route. The Jeep smartphone app lets you send points of interest or destinations directly to your Wrangler's navigation system, even when you are nowhere near the vehicle. When inspiration strikes, and you remember that vintage ice cream shop or secret hiking path you wanted to show the family on your next road trip, you can make sure its address is queued up in your Wrangler's navigation. Set it and forget it, knowing that your SUV's Wrangler has all of the places you want to visit logged into its system.Speed Sensitive Volume
Want to make sure you can always hear the tunes you and your passengers love while also ensuring you don't bother people enjoying the silence of your wilderness destinations? Then, you'll love the Wrangler's speed-sensitive volume. It works by adjusting your sound system's volume in accordance with your vehicle's speed. When driving fast, it automatically turns the volume up to account for road and engine noise so you can still hear your audio media. Once you're driving slowly (like when you turn off the freeway and onto a dirt road leading to the campsite), the system will turn the volume down. So you and your family can blast those tunes on the freeway and make sure to get the vibe right once you get further into nature. This feature is also useful when you are back in the city or suburbs because it will turn the volume down when you turn onto your peaceful neighborhood street (so you can stay in good standing with the head of the Home Owners Association).Voice Activated Air Conditioning
When you decide to take the Wrangler out for a spin solo, you won't have a co-pilot to adjust things like the music or temperature. Luckily, the Jeep Wrangler has voice-activated air conditioning. So when the sun breaks through, and it gets stuffy inside the vehicle, you can just speak to the Wrangler, and it will turn on the air for you. Plus, most parents know that even with a full car, some passengers won't take their hands off their devices to adjust the AC for you — so even then, you'll love this feature. The Largest Touchscreen in Its Class
The touch screen is one of the first things many of our customers notice when they step into the 2024 Wrangler. At 12.3 inches, it's almost as big as the smaller Macbook Air and feels like having a huge tablet embedded into your dash area. Having so many inches of active screen means your graphics never look crowded. You can see your navigation on the main portion of the screen and important notices on the right, like how far you are from your final destination or what song is playing. Every piece of intel has the space it needs, so you don't have to swipe back and forth to get the information you want.
