The Coolest Features of the 2025 Jeep Wrangler

A Suspension Made for Trails and Beyond
One of the big reasons the Wrangler has remained popular is that, in a world of crossover SUVs made to offer a better on-road experience, this machine refuses to compromise. It’s an off-roader through and through with widebody frame construction and a suspension that will get you over the toughest terrain. For starters, you won’t find any weak multi-piece axles here. All Wrangler trims use third-generation Dana 44 front axles that withstand the toughest impacts; most models have a heavy-duty version to support the engine and protect the front end. From there, a leading-link front suspension and trailing arm rear suspension roll over rocks and ruts like they’re a minor inconvenience. Depending on the trim, you can get a matching Dana 44 axle on the rear or a Dana M220 full-floating rear axle that bears even heavier loads. The coolest thing to us about the suspension is the Tru-Lock front and rear locking differential available on select models. By distributing power to whichever wheels need it most, you’ll get the ultimate traction on mud, snow, and sand. Make no mistake: this 4x4 has as strong a foundation as they come. Jeep also includes a few modern assist features like Electronic Stability Control, Roll Mitigation, and Hill Start Assist for support. You Want a Manual Transmission? You’ve Got It
Although some off-roaders have migrated to an automatic transmission as their design continues to improve, many purists remain loyal to the manual transmission so they can grab the gear they want rather than what the onboard computer thinks they want. These transmissions are now incredibly hard to find as few light-duty vehicles are equipped with them. Once again, Jeep knows what off-roaders want, and a six-speed manual transmission continues to be an option with the baseline 3.6L V6 engine. It lets Fort Mill drivers utilize the 285 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque as they see fit. There’s no additional cost for it, either! Not only that, but the eight-speed automatic transmission—which is available for the V6 and standard for all other engines—has a manual mode. So, if you want the convenience of automatic shifting downtown and the control of manual shifting on the trails, Jeep lets you have.
Tech to Get You Anywhere
Although some may lump great tech with automatic transmissions as classic off-roading enemies, we’re in the other camp. High-performance technology helps you reach your destination, go on random explorations, and enjoy some great in-vehicle entertainment—and it’s useful on the main roads when you return to Fort Mill. With that in mind, here are some of the cool things we love about the 2025 Jeep Wrangler tech loadout:- A 12.3-inch touchscreen is standard, so you can easily view information and switch modes.
- Every Wrangler has available built-in GPS navigation with Jeep’s Trails Offroad guide to travel thousands of paths.
- Wireless Android Auto/Apple CarPlay, Bluetooth connectivity, and SiriusXM capability let you listen to anything anywhere.
- Instead of the common shark-fin roof antenna, the Wrangler radio antenna is embedded in the windshield so it doesn’t catch on overhangs.
- Get up to seven USB data and charging ports to keep devices ready for entertainment or emergencies.
- Use the standard 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot to let passengers connect and save their data for when it’s needed.
Giant Tires All Around
Experienced off-roaders know big tires aren’t just for show. They absorb bumps and impacts, increase stability, add ground clearance, and shorten braking distance. Whether you get big tires on your 2025 Jeep Wrangler isn’t the question—it’s how big. At a minimum, every Wrangler has tires at least 33 inches in diameter, giving you the heft needed for off-roading and making a statement when driving around Fort Mill or down I-77. They range from all-season tires on lower trims to all-terrains on the Rubicon models. And, of course, there’s a full-size spare since donut spares are a non-starter off-road. Want to go even bigger? The Rubicon X comes in stock with 35-inch tires, which are also available on most other Wranglers. With the Xtreme 35-inch tire package, you also get a modified suspension plus accessories like a jack spacer, tire relocation kit, and extended wheel flares to account for the added size.Factory Upgrades to Customize Your Jeep
We know people love modding and tricking out their Wranglers—it’s part of the fun. With the 2025 Wrangler, Jeep can add plenty of awesome mods before the SUV leaves the factory, saving time in the garage and letting you enjoy a personalized ride from the start. Check out some of the highlights of the factory add-ons and option packages:- Add an 8,000-pound-capacity WARN winch to the front bumper to pull yourself up steep hills or get a friend out of trouble.
- Enjoy a full-time transfer case on all Rubicon and Rubicon X models for the high ratios you need when crawling and dune-bashing.
- Request steel front and rear bumpers that will handle crushing blows without breaking a sweat.
- Install low-back bucket seats to offer needed support on bumpy trails or Nappa leather-upholstered seats for a dash of luxury.
- Check out the Technology Group package with a premium nine-speaker Alpine sound system, HD Radio, an integrated off-road camera, voice command, and other extras.
